'It's the law!' BBC host lashes out at Lisa Nandy for calling Brexit deadline 'arbitrary' express.co.uk
BBC PRESENTER Sarah Smith said the Brexit deadline of October 31 is the “law” after Labour MP Lisa Nandy referred to the date as “arbitrary”.The Labour MP was discussing the likelihood of the UK leaving the EU on October 31, and the prospect of a general election. Lisa Nandy also claimed the request for up to six days to “scrutinise” the Brexit deal legislation is not “unreasonable”. Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme, the Labour MP for Wigan began: “I think it’s very unlikely that we leave by October 31 and actually October 31 was always quite an arbitrary deadline."
