House of Lords members paid themselves almost a third more than last year, a report has revealed.
A total of 31 peers have claimed more in expenses than an MP's standard take-home wage, according to the Sunday Times.
Peers' expenses and daily parliamentary attendance allowance has increased by 29 per cent to a staggering £23 million to last March.
