At least 32 people have been killed after a Turkish Airlines cargo plane crashed near Kyrgyzstan's main international airport.
Most of the victims were local residents of a village, whose houses were struck by the Boeing 747 as it attempted to land at Manas Airport in dense fog on Monday morning, officials said.
The plane, which belonged to ACT Airlines, was making a scheduled stopover in Manas after leaving Hong Kong for Istanbul.
It was attempting to land when it crashed at 7.31am local time.
Some 15 buildings were damaged in the crash, according to the head of the crisis centre Mukhammed Svarov.
Rescue workers have so far recovered the body of a pilot and 15 villagers.
Turkish Airlines sent their condolences to the victims on their Twitter account.
