It’s best known for its technology hardware, but it seems that Apple is turning its hand to finance.
A new report has revealed that Apple has partnered with Goldman Sachs to develop its own credit card. The report, by the Wall Street Journal , cites ‘sources familiar with the matter’, and suggests that the credit card could be available as soon as spring. The card will be launched alongside several new iPhone feature that are designed to help Apple customers to manage their finances, according to the report. It will use Mastercard’s network, and users can expect a 2% cash back on the majority of purchases, with greater returns for Apple products, the report added. The report also suggests that Apple and Goldman Sachs will entice users with extra features in Apple’s Wallet app.
