An 11-year-girl has been found murdered after going missing while out celebrating her birthday, with her dad held on suspicion of killing her. Riya Rajkumar was found dead at a property in the city of Brampton, Ontario, hours after she vanished in the care of her father, 41-year-old Roopesh Rajkumar. The child’s mother called police when Roopesh didn’t return with the little girl at the agreed upon time. Peel Regional Police reported just after 11pm (local time) that a parental abduction investigation was underway after Rajkumar failed to return the child to her mother.
He also reportedly made comments to the mother indicating he could cause harm to himself and his daughter.
