Gregg Wallace reveals he was ‘stressed and scared’ when he first learned his wife was expecting their first child together. The 54-year-old and his wife Anne-Marie revealed earlier this year that the pair were looking at fertility treatment in order to start a family. And now congratulations are in order as the couple have announced that they are expecting after revealing their desperation at having a baby. Speaking to OK! the Masterchef host said: ‘We were due to start IVF but then it happened naturally after two years of trying. The doctor told us it was a miracle Anna was pregnant.’ Revealing that they would call the child Sid Massimo Wallace, the TV host admitted that he has been ‘scared and stressed’ since she fell pregnant. Seeing a scan of our baby son and the strength of his heartbeat made me cry.’ ‘We’ve agreed to only have one child together – I’m too old.’ Anna, 33, chipped in: ‘I’ve been happy with the idea of just having one child right from the start. The fact we’re having one baby is a miracle – we’re blessed enough.’ The baby is due on 9 May. The couple started their relationship over Twitter after she reached out to him to help her prepare duck. Responding to her privately, the pair then struck up a friendship, and as a result, bonded over their love of cooking and overcame their 21-year age gap to fall for each other.
