More than half of British people support increased immigration of highly skilled workers, suggests a new poll, which charts the UK’s attitude towards migrants from diverse sectors of the economy and different areas of the globe. The combined research by Ipsos Mori and King’s College London found that 52 per cent of British adults believed more immigrants coming to do highly skilled jobs should be admitted, compared with 12 per cent who disagreed.
