Justin Timberlake Postpones Tour Dates Due To Bruised Vocal Cords But Is Making The Best Of It metro.co.uk
Justin Timberlake has been forced to postpone his LA Man of the Woods concert due to bruised vocal cords and we’re gutted for him. As much as he may want to Say Something, looks like he actually can’t. It’s not the only date the SexyBack singer’s been forced to postpone, after putting his Madison Square Garden show on 24 October, his Buffalo, New York show on 28 November, and two shows in Tacoma, Washington on hold. Fans are even getting a little bit concerned about the singer, as he’s been struggling for about a month.
However, being the positive soul he is, he’s been making the best out of a bad situation, rescheduling all the dates so his fans will still be able to get their Justin fix. The singer even did a silent interview with Jimmy Fallon. Who knows? It might become a thing. He’s not addressed it yet, but did reassure his fans on Twitter when the first string of dates were postponed. ‘Hey guys, I’m sorry to announce I have to postpone the show at MSG tonight on doctor’s orders,’ he wrote. ‘My vocal cords are severely bruised. I’m gonna make this up to you and the new show will be on my birthday, January 31. ‘More info to come. Again I’m so sorry to do this, but excited to see you soon. Love, J’.
Here’s hoping he can make it to his next date, 29 November at Phoenix’s Talking Stick Resort Arena. Justin’s vocal cord problems come after he revealed his secret teenage rebellious streak during his Disney days in his memoir, Hindsight & All The Things I Can’t See In Front Of Me. The 37-year-old confessed that he smoked weed at 13 which we reckon must be against the rules of the Mickey Mouse Club. Or at least frowned upon. ‘I came home a lot more sophisticated and aware than I had been before the show, but I tried to downplay it because I just wanted to seem like everyone else,’ Justin wrote. ‘I became the class clown, disrupting class with my bits, not caring if the teachers were mad, only wanting to be accepted by the other kids.’ He added: ‘I started getting in trouble. I smoked pot for the first time. I got myself a can of tobacco and almost got expelled for that.’
