Knickers the cow has broken the internet and for all the right reasons, he is a giant, standing at 1.94 metres tall. Technically Knickers is a steer (a neutered male) and his owner Geoff Pearson said the news has spread all over the world, from the USA, to Canada and New Zealand. Mr Pearson has fielded calls every 10 minutes since 4am as news spread of Knickers, a black and white Holstein Friesian, who lives in Western Australia.
But people have been asking how Knickers even got to the size he is, weighing in at 1,400kg (220 stone).

“We don’t know that ourselves,” Mr Pearson says. “It’s just a freaky thing.”
Usually steers are sold to processing plants at the age of two or three years but Knickers has been able to grown to his full height.
Mr Pearson said: “He’s too big for the chain, he’s out of spect, he’d be too heavy for the machines and he’d probably actually be having on the floor, so there would be contamination issues, and his cuts of meat would be too large.”
