La La Land heads Bafta nominations with 11 nods itv.com

Jazz musical La La Land is leading the race for the British Academy Film Awards with 11 nominations.

The film, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone – who both received best actor nods – won a record seven awards at the Golden Globes on Sunday evening and was widely expected to feature prominently.

Ken Loach\'s gritty drama I, Daniel Blake impressively secured five nominations overall and will compete with La La Land for best film, alongside sci-fi movie Arrival, American coming-of-age story Moonlight and drama Manchester By The Sea.

Arrival and Nocturnal Animals both received nine nominations overall, with Manchester By The Sea scooping six.
