The hunt is on to find a knifeman after a man was stabbed to death near London Central Mosque. Armed police have sealed off the mosque near Regent’s Park as they searched for the suspect who may have run inside. The Metropolitan Police said the attack was not terror-related and the victim was found with stab wounds in a nearby street at about 6.15pm. He was treated at the scene by paramedics but later died in hospital, the force said. One witness wrote on Twitter that police were ‘looking for guys who ran in’ so had ‘quarantined’ the mosque. Video shared on social media showed armed police at the gates to the mosque as a helicopter circled overhead.
