Man Utd Boss Jose Mourinho Launches Stunning Personal Attack On Four Players express.co.uk
Mourinho has been under fire at Manchester United this season with the team struggling in the Premier League.
The Portuguese has been at odds with several players and his latest comments will not please the four he mentioned.
"They are lacking maturity,” he told Univision. “And let me be clear when I say maturity, I mean maturity on a personal level.
"They are spoilt kids now, the kids of today have a different life, an easier environment and I’m talking about the people around the players.
"These people give them too much affection and too many excuses. People mature much more slowly now.
"Luke Shaw, he’s got big potential but doesn’t know how to behave. Big potential, yes, big potential.
"We’re talking about Luke Shaw, Martial, Lingard, Rashford – young, big potential, but at the end of the day it results in the word I cannot say, but you use it a lot here… character, personality, they lack a little."
Mourinho has been fighting for his job with poor results and player bust ups damaging his reputation in recent weeks.
He confronted Paul Pogba at training while the TV cameras were watching following a social media post while the midfielder was in the stands at a match.
And his relationship with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial has been under the spotlight.
Luke Shaw is one who has impressed this season after the tough love from Mourinho, but he may be annoyed with the fresh comments from the manager.
Martial and Rashford meanwhile are locked in contract talks with United after both being linked with moves away.
