Nathan Aspinall makes strides while Raymond van Barneveld slips out of top 32 in PDC Order of Merit after UK Open metro.co.uk
Nathan Aspinall’s victory at the UK Open has seen him make huge strides in the PDC Order of Merit as he crashes the top 16 in the world rankings for the first time. ‘The Asp’ went into the tournament at 34th in the world and a huge 125/1 shot to lift the trophy, but the unlikely victory saw him pocket £100,000 for his troubles. It is the second time in three months Aspinall has earned six-figures as he made the same amount for his semi-final run at the World Championship. His stellar rise to the elite of the game has seen him jump to 16th in the Order of Merit, one spot ahead of two-time world champion Adrian Lewis.
