Red Dead Redemption 2 Online: When Can I Play Red Dead Redemption Online? express.co.uk
Red Dead Redemption 2 online play is the next step in Rockstar Games developing their landmark new game. Fans have already sunk hundreds of hours into the main single player mode, but are still yearning for a dedicated online platform. Rockstar’s other smash hit game Grand Theft Auto 5 has one of the most popular online experiences in recent memory. The developers have now released a teaser for players to sink their teeth into, and they have a full platform release scheduled later on.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode is now in beta, meaning select players can get stuck in to the action early.
Debuting yesterday, players who bought special copies of the game are now testing the beta, which is soon to roll out to all players.
Beta access is for those testing what Rockstar has developed so far, and eventually returning their feedback so developers can further develop it.
Those who purchased the Red Dead Redemption 2 ultimate edition will be able to take part, with a code included in their copy.
Rockstar have promised they are developing their servers so all can take part come Friday November 30.
The developers said: “We are easing our servers and systems into handling the increasingly larger player base by scaling up the online population throughout this week – until Friday the 30th – at which point the Beta will be open to everyone with a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2.”
As of yet, there is no indication from Rockstar as to when we can expect a full online platform
