'SACK THEM' – FURIOUS Brexiteers demand May get rid of anti-Brexit Cabinet 'PLOTTERS' express.co.uk
FURIOUS Tory MPs demanded the sacking of anti-Brexit “plotters” from the Cabinet last night after three pro-Brussels ministers forced Theresa May to accept that the UK’s departure from the EU could be delayed. In a dramatic climbdown that triggered a fresh round of bitter Tory infighting, the Prime Minister yesterday agreed that MPs will be given a vote on postponing the exit date if her revamped Withdrawal Agreement is rejected by the Commons. She made the concession to allow a possible delay of up to three months at an explosive Cabinet meeting in Downing Street after Tory Remainers Amber Rudd, David Gauke and Greg Clark threatened to lead a mass exodus of up to 15 ministers unless she accepted the delay as an alternative to a no-deal Brexit. Mrs May insisted she remained determined to secure a deal that can win Parliament’s approval in time to ensure the country leaves the EU on schedule on March 29.
