This young student in China has been praised for carrying his friend to class every day for the past six years. Xu Bingyang, 12, carries Zhang Ze to school come rain or shine and even helps piggyback him between classes and to lunch. Both from Meishan city in south-western China’s Sichuan Province the pair struck up a friendship and have been inseparable since first grade.
Zhang Ze has suffered from a condition known as myasthenia gravis – also known as rag doll disease – since he was aged four. The incurable condition causes the schoolboy to lose all control of the muscles in his leg and cannot walk on his own.
