It’s going to get very hot once more as Britain braces for the impact of the extreme heatwave spreading across Europe.
Tourists in Spain and Portugal are being warned that a Spanish plume could see the hottest ever recorded temperature of 48°C in continental Europe being beaten.While in the UK this weekend, the Met Office is predicting the mercury will climb back up to 31°C in London and the South East, with sunshine returning to most of the country.
Brits were given a brief respite from the scorching sun with some much-needed rainfall and cooler temperatures this week but it seems the south of England is ready to sizzle once more.
But it won’t be the same in the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, where people will temperatures in the mid-20s, with scatterings of rain.A spokesman for the Met Office said: ‘Essentially at the end of the week we’re looking at a bit of a north-west/south-east split in the weather.
