Stansted Airport: Panicked passengers filmed jumping off plane after 'explosion' mirror.co.uk

Dramatic footage shows panicked Stansted Airport passengers jumping down emergency slides then running in the terrifying aftermath of an aborted take-off. The shocking clip shows people fleeing from the aircraft in the pitch black night and sirens can be heard in the background after staff reportedly screamed 'evacuate'. Some are still holding their handbags after sliding off the plane and running away. Flashing lights can be seen coming from the aircraft as emergency services vehicles arrive rushing to the scene. Some confused travellers crowded around near the plane after escaping, while others seemed to be trying to get far away. Flights were grounded for more than two hours last night after the incident which left eight people with minor injuries.
Passengers on a Laudamotion flight to Vienna described hearing an "explosion" followed by "screaming cabin crew" as the plane carrying 169 travellers attempted to take-off just after 8pm.
