Bargain-hunters are hitting the high street for the traditional Boxing Day sales amid predictions more will be taking part this year in order to beat rising prices. Around one in three Britons will go to the festive sales, up from 23 per cent last year, according to Barclaycard. London's Oxford Street was already teeming with shoppers in the early house of December 26.
