Tragic nurse's final message after being told SIX TIMES she didn't have cancer mirror.co.uk
A terminally-ill nurse used a heartbreaking final message to criticise the hospital she claims missed several chances to diagnose her cancer. Julie O’Connor, 49, said the way she suffered was “disgusting” in a video shot just before she died. She said doctors at Southmead Hospital in Bristol did not spot she was suffering from cervical cancer as she's seen propped up in her hospice bed, only able to whisper. The mum-of-two who worked for the NHS for 13 years, said: “I think it took six attempts for the cancer to be diagnosed. It’s disgusting I have been suffering the way I have and I continue to suffer." During the video, Julie appears weak and short of breath as she recounts her ordeal to the camera. She died three days after it was shot at St Peter's Hospice in Bristol.
