Tube wi-fi ‘turned off’ to stop Extinction Rebellion climate change protest metro.co.uk
Police this morning ordered for the London Underground wifi network to be turned off to halt climate change protesters. There has been a larger number of officers at Tube stations throughout the morning over fears climate protesters could be about to glue themselves to trains. It is the latest part of the Extinction Rebellion climate protests that have entered their third day in London. British Transport Police said: ‘In the interests of safety and to prevent and deter serious disruption to the London Underground network, British Transport Police has taken the decision to restrict passenger WiFi connectivity at Tube stations.’
