UK weather forecast: Heavy SNOW to fall for days as Britain battered by storms mirror.co.uk
Britain is bracing for days of heavy snow, torrential rain and strong winds as miserable wintry weather strikes a week on from record 21C heat. "Significant" snowfall and hail are expected in the north while the rest of the country is battered by heavy rain that will be thundery at times.
The conditions will last throughout the week as an Atlantic jet stream brings a succession of low pressure systems to the UK, just days after Storm Freya pummelled a vast swathe of the country. The rest of March isn't looking too good, as the weather likely won't begin to calm down until after spring arrives on March 20.
