Woolwich Stabbing: Urgent Manhunt After Young Woman Stabbed In Broad Daylight express.co.uk
The incident happened this morning at 9.30am on Anglesea Road in Woolwich. London Air Ambulance rushed the victim by air to a Major Trauma Centre. Scotland await an update on her condition. Metropolitan Police have released an urgent appeal to find 35-year-old Peter Morley who is wanted for questioning following the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Lesley Hamilton from Greenwich Police said: "It is important that we locate Mr Morley quickly and without further incident and I urge anyone who sees him not to hesitate but to call police without delay. "Officers remain at the scene and additional patrols are being conducted to provide reassurance to the public while the search for Peter Morley is undertaken."
Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “Police were called at around 9.30am on Monday, September 10 to reports of a stabbing at Anglesea Road, SE18. “Officers attended. At the scene a woman, believed in her 20s, was found suffering from a number of stab wounds to her back. “The injured woman was taken by London’s Air Ambulance to a central London hospital. We await an update on her condition.
